Jul 04, 2010 Anal gland removal is a common and safe procedure. My father is a vet with 25 years of experience and has never had a problem with anal gland removal in any of his clients. There is always a risk of putting a dog under whether it is a Frenchie or something else. The best thing to do is talk with your vet and ask them about the risks.
